A little about me 👋

I’m a design leader who thrives in finding clarity in the midst of ambiguity and high growth. My specialty is in building, leading, and scaling product and design talent into high-performing teams.

My secret weapon is an ability to help my teams move with speed and clarity through strong strategic and operational skills. Because of this, I’ve been promoted from Director to Senior Director to VP level in just 4 years.

As a player-coach, I can focus on leading high-performance teams and operations while also staying close to the craft. On a given day, you'll find me seamlessly jumping into Figma, leading a product brainstorm, or discussing company strategy.

My current role 📍

I'm currently the VP of Product & Design at Fabric, a fintech startup that was acquired in 2022 by Western & Southern, a $65B insurance and financial products company. The company was rebranded as Fabric by Gerber Life. Since the acquisition, Fabric continues to run as an autonomous 50-person company within the larger organization.

  • Lead a team of 10, encompassing Product, Design, UX Research, Product Marketing, and Brand.
  • Built the Product Design and UX Research functions from the ground up.
  • Launched three new 0-to-1 products and a 1-to-n mobile app experience, growing user acquisition by +10x
  • Implemented a new design system, improving design consistency and reducing time to market.
  • Oversee the design budget, managing headcount and freelancer spend.
  • Key member of the executive team, reporting to the CEO, setting company strategy and OKRs, growing EBITDA +25%.
  • Promoted from Director to Senior Director to VP in 4 years, expanding scope from Design to UX Research to Product and Product Marketing.

My AI Philosophy

I believe AI is a game-changer for enhancing human creativity, but it's not a shortcut for ingenuity and strategic thought. I'm a strong supporter of responsible AI usage on my teams, specifically when it can increase productivity, to get us from idea to prototype to code faster, with a goal of solving human problems with human-led solutions.

As AI continues to change the landscape of product and design, this section is continually evolving. Right now, here are the tools that I use most often in my daily workflow:
